Nicole Richie And Joel Madden Get Their Own Reality Show
Star Magazine is reporting that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are in talks to get their very own reality talk show. Basically, all recording will take place in Nicole's home and she will ask her famous friends to come on in and get interviewed by her and Joel.

You’re going to be here for quite a while, are you excited?
Oh, I can’t wait. It’ll be like, three weeks down there, maybe a little bit more.
You’ll be doing the Idol mentoring program?
Yeah, it’ll be fun – I’ve never done that before so I’m excited to do that. It’s kind of weird going down to Australia and doing that kind of stuff, it’s not really like work, it’s kind of just like a fun trip, like a vacation.
Are you in trouble at home for leaving?
Nah! Nah, it’s hard to get in trouble at home.
Really? That’s pretty cool.
Yeah, we’re pretty cool with each other, ‘cause Nicole might be the coolest partner anyone could have. She’s just like, “You do what you gotta do”, you know? There are obviously times when, like, if I’m being lazy, if I’m watching the football game or something and she needs me to change a diaper – the poopy diaper doesn’t really wait for the game to finish. So there’s that kind of stuff, but even that’s not a big deal, really.
That’s awesome that you’re both so chilled out.
Oh, yeah. We are awesome.
Totally. And are you in love with your son?
Oh yeah, of course! I mean, it’s just all the clichés that everyone says. When you have kids, it’s just true: they change your life, and they make you happy and they’re the best thing on the planet. So yeah, the hard part about leaving is just leaving my family. But at the end of the day, luckily they have such a great mom. But you know, they’re great, I love them.
Well, you do have pretty cute ones.
I will say, they’re pretty cute! I mean, I’m one step away from putting them in baby food commercials. I’m gonna be a stage dad.
Just don’t put them in any baby pageants! As long as they’re not in wigs and high heels, it’s fine.
[Laughs.] Yeah, I think I’m gonna keep my kids out of the entertainment industry. If they decide one day they want to, that’d be cool, but other than that, they’re not going to be on the baby train.
No eye shadow before the age of nine?
[Joking] Smile, Harlow! Smile! No. No, no, no.
Are you going to make Nicole your wife at some stage?
I don’t know! I mean, obviously, we’ve said it a million times – I don’t know how many times we could answer that question: yes. One day.
It’s like when you have a cousin who’s been with his girlfriend for years – you just want to know when they’ll make it official.
Yeah! I don’t really know the answer though. I mean, yeah, one day. I don’t know when, I don’t know how, I don’t know where. I know everyone always seems to ask and say that we did, or we didn’t. It seems to be more important to everyone else than it does to us, you know? We’re happy.
It’s like the world is your mum, or your nagging aunty.
It kinda is, yeah, it truly is. But not really, because my mom and my aunt, I actually care about. [Laughs.] I’d listen to them!
Are your parents on your case about it?
Nah, no. My parents, our parents, are all very happy. They’re all cool, everybody’s happy.
Are they thrilled by the babies?
Yeah.
Sorry we keep asking about that, we might be a bit obsessed.
Oh, man, babies make the world go around. We need more babies, to have more people, to keep everything going.
Back to Australian Idol, you guys are did the “noughties” show?
Ah, yeah, like, naughty songs. What does that actually mean?
I think it’s songs from 2000 onwards. So instead of “nineties”, it’s “noughties”.
Ooohhh! Ok! You guys and your damn terms! I don’t get it!
Haha, did you think it was going to be “naughty” songs?
Yeah, I was like, naughty songs? What do you mean, naughty songs? I mean, great, I guess, if it’s all female contestants, but I’m assuming it’s the opposite. So I had no idea, I didn’t know what that meant. When they were saying it to me I was like, naughty songs?
You must have thought Australians were insane!
Yeah, they were asking me what songs I’d like to hear and I was still just like, “I have no clue what naughty song I’d like to hear”. I was like, “That is … interesting”. I didn’t want to be mean but I thought you guys were kinda weird. Naughty songs!
What would actually be your naughtiest song?
I guess … I don’t even know what naughty songs are out there. How do you even define naughty songs? [In sleazy voice] “Oh that’s a naughty song”.

And you’re working on your new album, how’s that going?
I think it’s the best album we’ve ever done, I think Australia’s going to like it. It’s a straightforward rock album. It’s very much about big songs, big chorsus, stuff you can sing along to.
