Delta Goodrem's a gunk rocker

In Melbourne for the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, she wants to end up covered in fluorescent goo.

"Its a privilege to get slimed," she said after catching up with tonight's co-hosts, Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden. "It's an incredible honour."

The trio will be joined by Miranda Cosgrove, star of the hit kids TV show iCarly, and a host of other celebrities including Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and Cassie Davis.

The awards, to be held at Hisense Arena, are Australia's biggest live event for kids and attract more than 1.2 million votes

Good Charlotte's Joel Madden storms out of radio interview

Madden was being interviewed on Fox FM this morning in Melbourne when he got up and left mid-interview.

He told his fans on Twitter afterwards, "Just walked out of a FOXfm interview in Melbourne not in the mood to be a clown."

He then added, "Most of the time I can put up with idiot morning show hosts but not today. I guess I have finally found some aussie's I don't get on with..." (his own punctuation used here for accuracy)

What had apparently caused the Good Charlotte star such upset was being asked by hosts Matt & Jo to participate in a test to see if twins can each sense what the other one is feeling. While Benji Madden was given an eye mask, Joel - who is the father of two children with partner Nicole Richie - was given the famous pap-snap of Britney Spears getting out of a car without her undies on.

While Benji interestingly guessed his brother was annoyed, Joel confirmed this by saying, "wow, you guys are getting on my nerves."

The hosts tried to apologise and move on to another challenge, but Joel seemingly had had enough.

He stormed out of the studio saying "we're outta here", with his brother following quickly behind.

The brothers had been having an excellent time in Melbourne prior to this incident. They were a hit duo at the races, and then overjoyed to meet their childhood idol MC Hammer at Nobu on Sunday.

They were joined by host Rove McManus, his wife Tasma Walton and British writer/comedian Ben Elton.

The Madden boys were particularly chuffed to catch up with Hammer, revealing his albums were some of the first they owned.

"Who knew one of my childhood heroes MC Hammer would be one of coolest dudes ever and even know who we were," Benji wrote on his Twitter page - which was more than his brother was saying about his Fox FM hosts today.
